Rendering showcase

This font was not drawn in a desktop font editor. Every outline in it was sketched stroke-by-stroke in the browser over a dimmed guide, and the OpenType shaping — the rules that decide which of four shapes a vowel takes, how wide a ရရစ် wrap has to be, where a tone mark lands — was generated from those sketches. Below is what that produces on the clusters that are hard to get right, next to SIL Padauk, the font the outlines were traced over.

Each row carries its own evidence: the glyphs the shaper actually produced, and how far the result sits from the reference in units of a 1000-unit em. Nothing here is judged by eye.

Every glyph — အက္ခရာ အားလုံး

The studio's complete inventory — the whole Myanmar Unicode block plus Extended-A and Extended-B, and the unencoded shaping variants a real font needs — rendered by the generated font. A tofu box means that glyph has not been drawn yet: click ✎ to open it in the studio and draw it yourself. Click any cell to try it in the type-your-own box below.

Real words — အသုံးများသော စကားလုံးများ

Ordinary vocabulary, not torture tests. These come from the same word list the font is validated against.

Pangram — စာလုံးစုံ ဝါကျ

The whole vocabulary — ဝေါဟာရ တစ်ခုလုံး

Not a sample — every word of the Myanmar Word Glyphs vocabulary, the same 12,450 real Burmese words this font is validated against, rendered here by the font itself. Scroll it. Every one of them shapes with zero failures; if any looks wrong to you, that is a bug report worth more than the whole test suite.

Anything you paste here is rendered by the generated font. If a cluster looks wrong, that is a bug worth reporting.
